Oh look, some Journey Home art I just dropped here. Where'd that come from.
For those who remember my old spyro fanfiction, The Journey Home, here's some art! This depicts a scene from Chapter 7, "Ghosts", where Spyro and company find themselves in an abandoned underground mall. There's more to this mall then meets the eye. It's a treasure trove of artifacts from an older era, and also contains a darker secret...
The Journey Home was a story I wrote forever ago, and then once again NEVER FINISHED. God. I have to stop doing that. It was a Spyro fanfiction set in a post-apocolyptic Earth after humanity had seemingly destroyed itself. The world was left to the anthros and dragons to inherit. Spyro grew up in this world, hearing stories of these fabled "Forgers". His whole world is turned upside down when a group of mysterious travelers arrive in his home town. They're Forgers, and they're there looking for something, but what?
Yeah, yeah I know Spyro, humans and post-apocolyptia doesn't mix well. Bah humbug I say. A lot of people thought it was a novel enough concept so here we are. This image I had actually wanted to draw back when I wrote the chapter all those years ago. I was never confident back then in my shadows or color for that matter. Now that I've gotten over my fear of it, I thought it be best to revisit some scenes that just simply couldn't have been done justice without them! Yes, this also means I am making serious efforts to finish The Journey Home. It originally had only one chapter remaining, but I think with some ideas I'm concepting I could give it enough legs for a few nice send off chapters for those waiting for a satisfying ending.

I might upload the whole story here if there's interest

Said it back when you first finished this, but I'll say it again. Love how eerie this pic fells. So lost and desolated, with a certain sense of mystery and sadness behind it. It really does make you wonder what the hell happend here, which is always a good feeling to have about any story. Really nice work man~
