Much debate has circulated around the Leeran snail and its ability to cross great distances in a relatively short time. The most prevailing theory states that the Leeran are in fact deviants. But since snails are considered disgusting to just about everyone, it is hard to be sure. Others believe they are demonic in origin, as when in contact with blessed salt, the Leeran simply evaporate. It has since been noted that this is, in fact, true for all snails. As a result, all snails and slugs have been officially reclassified as demonic in origin and the Inquisition has since sought new ways to purge this demonic incursion.
