Well I finally did it, after months of podering it and mulling it I went ahead and finally got a refference for Piper as her true self in my setting Tales of Advent.

Piper is a Leviathan, a deep ocean species that cannot survive in normal atmospheric pressure. Thankfully while in the womb nanobots build a high tech pressure suit called a " Terrasuit " around them that replicates the ultra high pressure of their abyssal home. The suit expands itself to grow with the Leviathan, is self repairing, hosts numerous life support, waste recycling, and water oxygenation systems. It can melt down food into a nutrient paste through an attached bag and links with the wearer's nervous system letting them experience a full range of sensation.

The wearer's will decorate their suits and color them often according to their coloration beneath the suit or at least with colors inspired by it.

Pictured is a " Light " suit. Medium and Heavy suits also exist that can resemble walking deep ocean submersibles at their largest.

Leviathans range from five to twelve feet in height depending on sub-species and are born with a powerful sonar implant that can be used for infrasonic communication and navigation even above water. They also possess powerful sub dermal LEDs that can illuminate their way in the dark reaches of the deep.
