"And here's yours, Lily." Her teacher smiled as he handed the corpulent cat her literature test back with the almost perfect score bright and present in black ink on the paper.
"Thanks so much, Mr. Harrington! I'm really glad you liked it!" She beamed proudly at him, "Walden was such a good book to read and I'm so so SO happy you showed it to us." She clapped her hands.
"You're quite welcome." The osprey chuckled, "Keep up your studies and you'll do really well within this field."
"Thanks!" Lily looked down at her watch, "Oh! I need to get to my next class! See you later, Mr. Harrington!"
"Um, Miss Adams. Would you mind leaving your desk here?" He asked with another laugh.
"Nya?" Lily looked down, seeing that the plastic and wire frame desk was stick around the folds of her massive belly, "Oh! Sorry!" She giggled, "Let me just try and get this off...urrf...oooff…" She groaned and huffed, the large tabby sucking in her gut as much as possible and gently manipulating the jiggly rolls to try and get the desk off of her, eventually managing to wiggle it off as it dropped down with a small bump. Lily then picked it up and slid it back to its proper place before she hopped back over to Mr. Harrington's desk, "Thanks for telling me. I would've walked around all day with that around me." She giggled before waving and leaving the room, the avian nodding as he began work on grading the tests for his next class.

“Hmhmhmh~” Lily hummed to herself as she merrily wandered through the hallways of her high school on the way to one of her favorite times of the day: lunch period. It had started getting warmer in the early June days and most of the other students had dropped their coats and boots in exchange for shirts and shorts. Lily herself had on a pair of jean shorts and a green shirt with one of her favorite band's logos on the front...which was a size too small for her and greatly emphasized her round belly as it clung like a wetsuit to her. The fat cat didn't mind at the moment as she waved at some of the other students while entering into the lunch room, the smell of the food making her purr with happiness even as she remembered she'd brought her own lunch.
"It's so hot today. Like, I don't even know how some of you guys can handle having such thick fur." A voice broke Lily from her interest in lunch, glancing to a nearby table with two girls sitting there, to which she immediately recognized the white-tailed deer and dashed off.
"Hey, Courtney." She said with a smile.
"Oh my gosh, hey, girrrrl!" The deer, clad in a pink dress top with a white miniskirt, stood up and gave Lily a hug, wrapping her arms around the feline's girth, "Like, how are you, Lils? I haven't seen you in SO long!" She went, stepping back and adjusting her horn-rimmed sunglasses.
"Y-yeah. Long time." Lily chuckled, rubbing the back of her head.
"If second period Math two hours ago is a long time." She thought.
"Come and sit down with us, we were just like talking about how hot it's gonna be this summer and how much fun getting out of school is gonna be and how all I want to do is just lay around the pool and just be pretty." Courtney said, flicking her long, fluffy brown hair over her shoulder.
“You don’t do that anyway every summer?” The girl, a squirrel monkey dressed in a denim jacket over a tanktop with some ripped jeans and black boots.
“Well, yeah, Tessa, but I’m like just planning stuff out loud just so that I can be ready." Courtney glanced over her shoulder at the primate before turning her attention back to Lily, “By the way, Lils, since tomorrow is supposed to be like super hot and gross and stuff, I’m gonna’ have a party at my house since my parents finally decided to actually get the pool like ready. Did you want to come and get your swim on?” She asked. The invitation made Lily hop up and clap her paws together, coming down and almost knocking over Tanna’s drink from the small quakes occuring.
“Yes, I want to come! Absolutely!” Lily jumped forward and wrapped her chunky arms around the taller Courtney, “Thank you so much for the invite, Court! You’re my girl!” She purred, pulling Courtney closer to her for a hug.
“You’re...like...welcome…” Courtney groaned from the sheer amount of girth compressing her slender middle, breathing a sigh of relief as Lily finally pulled away, allowing the cervine to catch air again.
“Ooops, sorry.” Lily’s ears drooped as she stepped back from Courtney, “Forget my own strength sometimes."
“It’s all good, girl. Like, nya!” Courtney chuckled as she made a motion of a cat’s paw waving at Lily.
“Like, nya!” The tabby giggled, returning the motion to the deer. Both girls laughed and then gave each other hugs while the monkey watched on with a gleeful grin, "Oh! How did you do on your literature test? I got a 97 on it!" The question made Courtney's expression drop for a moment before she forced a smile.
“I mean, like, y’know. Mr. H is real super slow sometimes when he’s grading super hard tests so like maybe I’ll see the thing at the end of the day or something.” She shrugged, “Either way, see you tomorrow for some fun in the sun where we’ll get our pool on! Woohoo!” Courtney clapped her hooves together.
“Oh, okay then! It’s gonna’ be so much fun!” Lily nodded.
“So, you two gonna’ eat your lunch at some point?” Tessa chimed in, drinking from her water bottle.
“Oh! Yeah! Thanks for reminding me, Tess-Tess.” Courtney giggled as she skipped back over and sat down.
“Same, I’m starving!” Lily went as she carefully squeezed her frame into one of the chairs of the table, the furniture creaking in seeming anguish at the over 400 feline pounds it had to hold up while she took her lunch bag out and began eating with her friends.
**
“Hmhmhmhmhm~” Lily hummed, looking out of the window of the car and at the parts of the neighborhood passing by. Courtney’s family was relatively well off thanks in part to her mother’s job and their large house was located at the top of a hill in town. The tabby wasn’t looking forward to having to climb up it and she was thankful when Tessa had offered to give her a ride.
"Ready for today?" The monkey asked, glancing over at her friend.
"You bet!” Lily turned back, “Got your swimsuit?”
“Yup. This really badass looking black and silver one.” Tessa grinned, “Wearing it underneath my clothes.”
“Same!” Lily smiled brightly, “Glad we had the same idea!” She laughed. Tessa chuckled as well while she turned into the driveway of Courtney’s home. A few cars were parked outside of it already, owing to Courtney’s popularity in school. Once they stopped, both girls got out and headed toward the gate to the backyard where the pool was.
"Still blows me away how big this-" Tessa stepped through the gate, only to get covered in a large wave of water. The now wet squirrel monkey took a deep breath and flared her nostrils "-pool is." She said, finishing the statement.
"Oops! Sorry, Tess!" A male voice called from the pool as a red panda floated over, "Didn't mean to tsunami you!" He grinned sheepishly.
"Hi, Angelo!" Lily waved at him. She looked over at Tessa, her tail puffing up as she flicked water off of it.
"You better get swimming, panda boy!" She smiled wickedly, throwing her denim vest off and undoing her belt as she leapt out of her jeans into the air.
"Oh crap…" Angelo quickly kicked off the pool's side and swam away as the monkey darted under the water, beginning her pursuit like a shark after a seal.
"Have fun, you two!" Lily turned around and skipped toward the back door, catching a scent.
"Mmmm, food~" Lily giggled as she walked inside the house, waving hello and talking with a few people while she caught the scent of something very delicious. The tubby tabby walked over to a long table containing several plates and platters that themselves had foods of all kinds upon them. She scanned the whole table, seeing a spread of vegetables sure to crunch in her mouth with each satisfying bite, small finger sandwiches with thinly cut tomatoes and lettuce mixed in with bacon that dripped with an absolutely scrumptious looking dressing and crispy chicken wings a rainbow of varied delicious flavors. Her attention was grabbed by the one thing that could make her salivate even more. Glistening with grease and shining with cheese was a pile of one of her favorite foods of all time.
“Cheeseburgers!” Lily thought with glee as she went after them first, picking one up in her paws and devouring it...then another and another after that, the grilled meat and puffy buns vanishing off the pile. After her fifth, Lily decided to move onto the rest of the food, taking a plate into her paws and loading it up with as much as she could get (while sampling a few of the other foods on her way across the table. Sandwiches vanished, chicken wings evaporated and veggies all disappeared as they ended up on her plate (that Lily was somehow able to balance) and down into her globular pit of a belly. The more she ate, the more the kitty found her stomach growing tighter as the flab filled out into firmness, making her purr as she rubbed it with one of her chubby paws. She stopped for a moment as she noticed a snow leopard and a horse watching her with both shocked and surprised looks. Lily swallowed what she had in her mouth before she spoke.
“Oh, don’t worry. I’m just really hungry. I’ll be sure to leave some for everyone.” She beamed at them, seeming to put their concerns to rest before she went back to her hedonistic haste.
“Best pool party ever!” She thought happily. She then glanced up at a nearby stairwell, seeing Courtney walk past it, looking down at her phone. Lily went to get her attention, only to notice the hooved girl's upset expression. Courtney then dropped her head, her ears folded down as she slowly disappeared from view down the hallway. Concerned for her friend, Lily quickly (well, as quickly as she could manage at least) bounded up the stairs. She checked around the corner, noticing a door move to shut but not completely close all the way. Her curiosity growing, she poked her head inside, recognizing it as a bedroom. Sitting in front of a large pink vanity desk was Courtney, her hair tied back into a large, messy bun and clad in a black and brown two piece swimsuit with a clear skirt adorning her waist. She was currently resting her elbows on the desk, arms propping her head up as she stared into the mirror.
"Court? You okay?" Lily asked, knocking on the door frame.
"Eeep!" Courtney squeaked as she jumped out of the chair, glancing at the door quickly before turning away from Lily, "Oh, hey, uh, Lils. I didn't hear you like come in. Did you get food?" She asked, keeping her back turned to Lily.
"Yeah...it's totes solid." Lily slowly walked in, "Everything okay?"
"What a silly question." Courtney laughed, "Everything-" she abruptly stopped before she sighed and got up, sitting down on her bed in order to face Lily. Now that she had a full view, the feline could see streaks of black flowing down underneath the white-tail's eyes, most definitely running makeup from where Courtney had been crying "-is not okay." She said, sniffing and picking up a nearby kerchief to wipe her nose.
"What's the matter?" Lily turned back, closing the door and walking back over to desk, "You can tell me if you want, I'm here to…" Lily started to sit down in the chair before it loudly creaked from her hips and rear trying to squeeze in as she winced and quickly decided instead on a place next to Courtney on the bed, "...I'm here to listen to you." She said, a friendly smile shining across her plump, cream face. The deer looked over at her before she reached her hoof under a pillow, retrieving a piece of paper and handing it to her friend. Examining it, Lily discovered it was the same literature test she had gotten yesterday from Mr. Harrington's earlier class that Courtney was in. It had the same black ink on it. However, the score itself was a 34 with the test itself marked like a roadmap showing errors and advice for how to improve. Lily looked it over and then looked up at her sad friend.
"I told my parents about it," Courtney said, dejected, "They weren't happy." She sniffed, a pair of tears streaming down her face.
"I'm so sorry, Court." The chubby kitty said as she leaned over, taking her friend into a hug as she gently petted the deer's hair.
"I'm dumb." Courtney lamented.
"No, you're not." Lily retorted, "What were you having trouble with?"
"Everything." Courtney laid her head down on Lily's shoulder, her snout gently sinking in, "Understanding the story and like what it means, writing out stuff, all of it. I'm so not smart enough to be good at school."
"Court, that's not true. You're the best in our class with the athletics tests and you're really really good at identifying stuff in Health Ed." Lily rubbed Courtney's back, "Just because you have trouble with some things doesn't mean you're dumb."
"But I flunk everything else." She sniffed, "You make it look so easy."
"Heh...well, I can tell you it's not. I have to study a lot and even then I'm still not perfect," she snapped her fingers, "Here, tell ya what: how about I help tutor you?"
“You’d do that for me?” Courney turned her head to Lily.
“Yeah!” The catgirl nodded, “You’re my friend so I’m 100% willing to help you feel better, maybe get some more confidence in yourself too.” She smiled. Courtney’s eyes watered up as she lunged and gave Lily a tight hug.
“Thanks, Lils. You’re like the bestest best bestie ever,” she said, “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about what was going on. I guess I was all super embarrassed.”
“No biggie.” Lily giggled as she returned the hug.
“Okay, if you’re all chill with that,” Courtney said, nuzzling Lily’s shoulder, “Also, you give like the best hugs too.”
“That’s what my nan says too.” Lily blushed happily, “She also says to always take care of your friends too, so I won’t let her down.” She purred, Courtney smiling at the rumbling feeling coming from the chunky cat’s body before she moved slightly back.
“I like really REALLY mean it, Lils. I love having you as a friend. You and all my friends.” The brunette said with confidence.
“Of course. We all appreciate it,” Lily held up her paw, “Like, nya.”
“Like, nya.” Courtney went before Lily took her hoof and helped her off the bed.
“So, anyways, you should totally join your own party, right?” Lily smiled and gave the skinny deer a light hip bump.
“Maybe. Can you like stroll with me after I finish getting my makeup?” Courtney asked, “Just like need some support right now.”
“Heck yeah.” Lily nodded before she got a bright, toothy grin, “I even got an idea for how you can make a totally confidence boosting entrance.”
“Oh?” Courtney tilted her head.
“You been practicing your ‘baddest bitch in the room’ walk?”

“Where’d Lily go?” Angelo looked around the pool area as he drank from his punch cup.
“I’ve got a pretty good idea on where she was.” Tessa commented, looking inside at the devastated table with only half its original capacity of food adorning it. Both of them turned their heads as murmurs happened around them, trying to find the source of the attention. Soon, they noticed a pair of figures walking out from inside the house, the red panda and monkey recognizing them as Lily and Courtney. Lily had dropped her clothes and had on her swimsuit: a white and blue striped one with some cat paws dotted all over it. Each of them had sunglasses on and were walking with pure confidence, smiling and nodding at the other partygoers, the full focus of everything that was going on despite the number people and the music throughout. Eventually, the two of them reached outdoors, walking over to their two friends. Lily smirked as she flipped the sunglasses off her face and handed them to Courtney,
“Hope we didn’t keep you waiting too long.” She smirked.
“The guest of honor is here!” Courtney did a twirl as she waved at everyone.
“Yeah! Now, what are we waiting for, everyone? Let’s get our POOL PARTY GOING!” Lily clapped her paws together as she bounded toward the edge and jumped up above the water.
“Oh dear!” Courtney ducked behind a table while Tessa moved Angelo in front of her as the impact of a large catgirl sent a wave of water crashing all around the sides of the pool, a loud yelp escaping the panda as he found his fur completely drenched with the same happening to some of the other guests nearby. Lily surfaced and shook her head, her now-wet hair whipping behind hair as she looked around at what happened.
“Uhhh...my bad?” She chuckled nervously as both the deer and monkey laughed with some of the others joining in as well.
