Trip down the hill from hell. Ten minutes.
Getting unstuck from multiple trees and bushes. 15 minutes.
Deciding the sheer drop below is too dangerous to play with. 5 seconds.
Getting BACK up the hill from hell, half the time being pulled by your crazy heroic dog cause he's sick and tired of you slipping and falling back down the hill, usually on him. 30-45 minutes.
Hugging and snuggling with said dog because he saved your ass numerous times on that hill. Several Hours.
Several hours, and the leftover meats from the previous night XD
Go hug your pets. They're life savers XD

I have a pit bull! She's a total house-dog though, she wouldn't have gone near that hill... I took her hiking once and we were going up a path toward a lookout point at the top of the mountain and she kept stopping, looking back at me, as if to say 'Are you SURE we have to go up this steep hill? Really, what's the point?? The car is the other direction, silly human!'
That fits my lifestyle though, since I live in town and am not super active. The area you live in looks wild and beautiful!

Pit Bull? Cool! Pits are such awesome dogs, and so sweet with the right people
That's Colorado for you. When we first moved up here, before I had Tascun and the two dogs i have now, we moved right up into the mountains. The three wolfdogs I had at the time....soon as we opened the kennel doors, they were just all over the place. First time they'd ever seen snow, first time they'd ever seen a pine tree or a lake. It was hilarious, we had so much trouble keeping up with them XD
