I got a request or two that I should combine my Anny Series pics into a group shot. I wont name any names as to who asked me to do this, but they said it would be a really cool way to help add closure to my Series. Who am I to do wrong by my friends or my own series so here is the end result. A monster scene constructed of every image I have entered into my Anniversary Series! [Save for the secret entry Super Sonic]
It was not too difficult to create this image but it was rather time consuming. Furthermore these images were not created with the goal of combining them, so there are several inconsistencies between the characters. Ignoring that, it is pretty cool how I was able to get them to all fit together. The completed project feels like some weird game of “Where’s Waldo?” lol
I also learned some things from this pic. For starters, the sheer number of characters is astounding. When you do them one by one, you really don’t get a sense of scale. Stepping back and looking at this pic I am even more impressed by what I accomplished with this series. There are also several cool factoids associated with this image. I ended up drawing more echidnas than hedgehogs… really did not see that one coming. I am also surprised by the amount of “bad guys” in the set. I thought they would be grossly under represented when I started but there are actually quite a few of them.

This project was started on the 20th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog, June 23, 2011. It will encompass numerous characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog video games, comic books and TV shows.
I do not own any of these copyrighted characters. They belong to SEGA or their copyrighted owners.

I have an idea for a second sonic comic, but I need the help of all Sonic fans. The idea is called Sonic Legacy. This comic would continue the time line of the Archie comics. Think about it IDW has more control over the sonic property then Archie did, they also have most of the artists and writers from the previous series as well. The point of this second series is not to make a prolong comic that is going to last the next 20 years, but comic that will finish any remaining Arcs that did not get published and to give the fans a much deserved true ending. So this is the plan I need everyone to get this info out there to every sonic youtube channel and website and to tweet Ian Flynn, IDW and SEGA, so they understand there is money to be made here. Let's band together and make this happen, let's get the ending we all deserve from a comic series that ran for almost 25 years. Let's fight for the Knotehole Village Freedom Fighters.
