Since Borderlands has been getting back into the swing of things with Borderlands 3, Fight for Sanctuary DLC, and the Handsome Jack bundle being on sale, I was able to revive an old idea for a Borderlands OC and bring them to life while experimenting with a more Borderlands-Style
Becq Candela as ‘The Courier’
Becq was one of the top express delivery men for Kesselton Delivery so when a person paid for an expensive rapid delivery to Pandora. To get there as fast as possible, he wound up taking the Vault Hunter train and got caught up in Handsome Jack’s attack.
At first, he didn’t want to fight in the war; afterall, he was there to make a deliver, but the package got lost in the train crash, so he wants off the planet. Problem is, Kesselton refuses to send a rescue crew due to Jack’s war, meaning he’s stuck there until it’s all over. Infuriated, he takes up arms with the Vault Hunters to see if he can’t hurry this war along.
Becq’s class ability is ‘Solarmods’; attachments he puts on the end of his guns to temporarily give them unique abilities. Pistols will ignore shields, SMGs have infinite ammo, Assault Rifles will just put out a beam of energy, and Sniper Rifles will pierce through enemies.
For his Skill Trees, there are three areas to focus on: his mobility with ‘Light Footed’ that boosts his movement speed during the day with his Scouting skill tree, unlocking the ability to put a ‘blindness’ debuff on enemies with his Corona skill tree, or pack heat with pistol skills in his Double-Action skill tree.
