In this months installment of National Geographics "Monsters of the Modern World" we were fortunate enough to find a creature known as a Fade (appropriately enough) to interview.
Fades are able to naturally turn invisible (all save their eye-spots), and are reclusive by nature. In order for our nature photographer, Susan, to get close enough for enough pictures for this article, certain concessions had to be made. For the spirit of discovery!
Anywho, I figure might as well send off the old year with a post of a potential new character/persona I scribbled out whilst away on vacation.
Inq is a monster, generic sobriquette as that is. Rather than eyes, he has biolumenscent eye-spots running down the sides of his body. His eye-spots are weak, and can only really pick up the light reflected back at him by his own biolumesence. Or something similar. This means that he has a little trouble figuring out glass, and loves neon signs quite a bit.

So does that mean if you dress in black, he won't be able to detect you? He'll be very popular with the peeping toms... especially if his current bathroom pose is part of his daily routine. Oh, I tease... ^..^
Is he a creature of energy or something like that? Does he need to eat or breathe? I notice a distinct lack of facial features associated with either.

His light still reflects off of black, though dimmly. ;)
And he is flesh and blood, but he really doesn't need to eat for sustinance or breath either really. I always figured the term "monster" dealt with creatures that don't apply to our laws of biology or even physics. ;)
