In the development of making a new species or race or whatever that I can use; so here's the Skraeling. Canine themed with demonic traits. So far I've not gotten around to design a female Skraeling.. Still.

1. Mouth tentacles. Skraelings cannot chew and swallow as you'd imagine another species to do. Instead, they rely on forcing down chunks. The tentacles are fully prehensile and can akin to snake's tongue, taste the air. There's always five tentacles.
2. Another defining feature is a large ridge of fur going down their back. Its highlighted in the same color as the tentacles themselves.
3. Average body is thin and malnourished looking with the mid-section being slightly elongated.
4. Paw pads on hands and feet.
5. Tail is fairly short and is covered with long hanging fur. Akin to dogs, wagging their tail is a thing.
6. Eyes are white and without pupil which gives them an unsettling visage.
7. Mouth tentacles can extend about the same length as their arm from their mouth.
8. Eyes glow vividly in the dark. Skraeling has excellent night vision.
9. Arms are a bit longer than normal.
10. Clothes are simple and only really meant to cover them up.

More things;
- Skraelings are gourmands and love to eat. This means that poor quality food and raw food especially tend to not go well with them.
- On top of loving to eat, they also love to cook.
- Skraelings have no need to drink.
- They're fully capable of unhinging their jaws if its necessary to swallow something.
- A single Skraeling can eat enough food for 5-6 people, after which it doesn't have to eat anything for many weeks. They also become quite bloated..
- Any sort of temperature doesn't affect Skraelings. Be it mid-summer desert heat or Arctic freeze, they're unaffected.
- Skraelings are born pitch black in their fur and at the end of their life, they're pristine white.
