Well hey there. You may have seen a certain challenge going around which goes along the lines of "Draw your fursona wearing only this" and a picture of a salmon pink hoodie which is cut off below chest level and has a massive cutout in the front to boot. Well, I say going around, more like it was going around last year. I've been aware of it for a while, I just didn't have an idea for it. My fursona is, of course, not Moss the Leafeon, but it occurred to me that he's the hoodie guy, so it would fit him to wear it in my stead. But so it didn't feel like cheating, I put the boy in the background as well. Putting some humour in also made the inherent suggestiveness of the hoodie feel less wanton.

So yeah, I used this as an opportunity to practice drawing a skinny male torso. It's been quite a while since I've drawn something questionably heterosexual, unless you count [url=/view/31004571]Acidic[url], which I don't know if I would. I feel like every time I try to draw hips, I understand them just a little bit more. I actually used my own body for reference, haha, but that was basically just for how his left hip should look. I'm not as toned as Moss is here. Speaking of Moss, I think this finally counts as a proper full picture starring him, as the other attempts have all been all sketchy-like. That being said, I intentionally did this one quickly (another 2-day production) and did rough-looking lineart and colours in a slightly faded pastel style. The sketch, though, was just as rigorous as usual. Not much point drawing a cute bod if I'm going to skimp on said bod! (I may have skimped a bit on the hands, though...)

Anyway, this rounds out one of my best months ever on DeviantArt in terms of pageviews and all that, so I'm generally chuffed about that. I honestly have no idea whether to expect an average reception from this pic or another runaway success like Fittttt and Littttt or Purple Flowers, but honestly? I'm just happy with what I've managed to achieve with my art. Thanks for viewing and appreciating the cute bods! <3
