Striker II
This is a design for Mr. Satak's "TRO 3063" Battletech project.
A slight redesign of the venerable Striker "light tank".
The old design looked more like a giant armored truck with a missile launcher on it ( like a mean SF version of a BM-21 Grad), than a light tank. This design uses a third axle, a reconfigured missile load, and a troop bay.
This vehicle is armed with LRM 10s, 4x SRM 4s, and a troop bay.
Another difference is that this vehicle carries another ton of LRM ammo!

Now, thats what I am talking about. That looks really well done and hey, finally you are posting something agai. Say did I asked you already if you do concept art on commission basis? I would have some stuff that needs to be drawn for my Sci-Fi RP faction called United Systems Directorate (I already posted the history of it on my FA page).
Anyway, great image.

Well this vehicle was done according to the client's stats, and he seems very partial to tankism.
I figure if you can equip and and armor up a mech, you can surely do the same for AFVs as well. But then, B-Tech's 100 ton limit was a bit silly and was purely a contrivance for the game's abstraction. Under B-Tech's rules the WW2 German E-100 and Maus superheavy tanks cannot exist...but then most real tanks won't work out according to their construction rules.
I love tanks, mecha, AFVs, and all sorts of war machines that even blur the lines between them!!

*shi nods* ah i understand fully then. I love doodling tanks once and a while as i think they are very neat pieces of machinary (got in trouble years ago in school because of them once... long story) but i do get what you mean. my guess is the tanks in battle tech use such advanced metals they are light as a feather (compaired to mechs) only a guess.
I have always liked light tanks in BT. The one thing that I would have done was take out the LRM-10 and replace it with two LMR-5s and use the saved ton to up the armor.
I have designed lots of light vehicles for BT. If you would like we could talk about them send me a privet message.
