Moneybags corrupted by greed into a new Spyro villain, commissioned by
HedgehogUrbie!
I really enjoyed working with this concept. The idea is that greed has consumed him mind body and soul, leaving him with terrible insomnia and a thirst for world domination. After all, everything would be much more <i>efficient</i> if it were run by a true businessman such as himself, and everything would be reduced to the most proper dividend. It's been established that Moneybags is a magic user in several games - now he uses his own wealth to amplify it, absorbing entire realms into his new company as he uses gems as a conduct for his own magic.
He'd also be a way better physical fighter than Ripto and the Sorceress. He's a boxing champion from University, after all.
The crystal bear behind him is his final boss form. As the game progresses, you'd see crystaline growths appear on his body as his own greed turns against him. One boss battle he'd have terrifying crystal arms and claws, and the final battle has him become a giant behemoth immune to all dragon breath.
His minions would all be mindless crystal constructs - literal extensions of his own material wealth. His fortress would also be made out of gems and gold and crystal, and the worlds that Spyro visits would have crystalline growth mixed with industrial stripping of resources. Everything becomes a reflection of his money.
Can Spyro defeat this mad bear, once nothing more than an annoyance, before all the dragon realms become trapped in a crystal prison?
