"Oh, formidable gatekeeper! I, Kazegami Narimoto of the Raiun, clan humbly request passage to the Kageyuki village in order to forge a treaty with this legendary clan."

"SHIROKI! Are you harassing guests again?!"

"Please excuse my daughter, she is far too excited about carrying on the gatekeeper legacy..."

"Not at all, I admire her spirit! How old is she?"

"Five, as of March."

"... She's going to make some kitsune either very happy or incredibly miserable one day."

This is a scene from Shiroki's childhood and it's meant to shed a bit of light on her past and the state of politics of the kitsune villages. And it's to show that her tendency to monologue is something she was born with :P
