"Hearing those strange rumours regarding those 'Beastmen' emerging from underground as of late was already concerning and unsettling enough when a soldier, visibly quaking with fear, was brought into my office.
He spoke of one such creature that resembled one of the assassin-type beastmen referred to as a 'Gutter Runner' save for the fact that it was utterly soundless in motion and its flesh was that of metal and machine. He'd then go on to describe in gruesome detail of how it tore through his unit, men losing their heads with every verdant swing of its glowing blades until survivors of its strikes fared worse from horrific burns and mutations.
I have since sent the shaken soldier into the care of the Witch Hunters. If anyone would know of, and thus could deal with, this creature of metal it'd be them." - Journal Entry of an Empire Captain, on debriefing a shaken soldier thought to be the last of his unit,
And here we have a full picture, after quite some time. I apologise for that, work as been eating up my time as has Total War Three Kingdoms and illness putting me in a foul mood.
But regardless, it is done! I had this idea a while back when the Prophet and the Warlock DLC dropped for Total Warhammer II dropped; a robotic/synthetic Skaven Gutter Runner!
To be honest, I feel that such a thing is not that far-fetched in the world and lore of Warhammer Fantasy and Age of Sigmar, considering it'd likely be powered by a (potentially unfortunate) Skaven soul and a lot of Warpstone.
But yeah, enjoy! I had fun designing the robo-rodent!
