Sketched this on Dec. 24. Didn't color it til tonite.
Doug and Amanda. Former squatters. Now with a place of their own.
The two young yotes got a lot to think about this season.
This one's about 50/50 ink/Photoshop. Tried to keep the damn thing simple. Like they're just chillin' wit da lites off.
Still think it looks a tad flat. Could use moar highlighting.
Nevertheless...
Hope your holiday seasons are all going swimmingly. ^^
Won't be posting for a few more days, too. Gig in Maine. Back on 1/1/10, so, in advance:
Happy.
New.
Year.
Over 'n' out. ^^

Very beautiful pic, C-Cat. There's a lot of emotion in this one. I think most of your pics have a very immediate effect with their bright colors and amusing poses. Here, the pose is ordinary, the background has virtually no detail-- but the color scheme at the expression are so restrained, this pic demands more attention than most of your gallery. It's really striking.
This is Doug, the new rookie point guard for the Thrust? He may not be getting much floor time, but his team is #1 in the Western Conference. He could have an amazing first season!

Of course! Since most every rookie who gets drafted has to relocate (not all of them can be as lucky as Ian Histon), teams have to help their young athletes move and get settled in. Sometimes they hire an outside company to help find their new athletes places to live, and sometimes they do it themselves, like the Thrust. Doug is probably working closely with the team's relocation agent, who's helped him find a condo, rent a car, get himself settled in until he can find the time to go buy a house or live where he and his mate want to in the Stanislaus area.
