I do not know the gender of the individual Lynx, but this is a mated pair at the San Diego Zoo. These are, more specifically Siberian Lynx, which is a sub species of the Eurasian Lynx (scientific name Lynx lynx).

Another set of sleeping animals,but even asleep they look no less beautiful.


The Eurasian Lynx is found in Western Europe, Northern Asia and the Middle East, and is classified as "Least Concern" by the IUCN.
