Hmm... bout time I post all this I suppose. Dumping it into scraps because... well, I guess I'm just not too happy with it. Plus, lots of non-furry female nudity to come that I suppose I'd prefer to hide away from the normal section of my gallery. But whatever the case, that's where it's all going. XP Not that you'll really be able to tell if you're viewing this in your "new submissions" box but just for future reference and all... XP
Anyways, if I'm to believe the numbering, this was the first concept sketching I did for "Evo," a new character of mine, intended originally as my own Klonoa fancharacter... obviously... XP This initial sketch was used to get a base fur pattern down and then test out colors. There was originally about a dozen different color variations that I tried out... and in the end, me and Damien both agreed this one looked the best.
Though I think it should be obvious, I'll refrain from stating exactly who/what inspired this particular color scheme. XP
Anyways... drawing from my older anthro Mimzy character's design, I made him into something I dubbed as a "Bio-Evolutionary Lifeform." Evo was created in a lab and is designed to learn and evolve by observing his surroundings. Theoretically, he may have originally sported a much different appearance and this is just the form he has evolved into at this particular point in time. And, being the vorish rabbit that I am, he also collects data by devouring/absorbing genetic samples(aka - local wildlife).
As Evo is "new" and begins his life with a fairly blank state, he is devoid of emotions. He is learning more about them and attempts to mimic them through facial expressions and tone of voice, but he has not mastered such things and more often than not expresses the wrong emotion at the wrong time. He'll develop real emotion over time, but in the beginning and for the length of the tournament I entered him into(getting to that soon), he is meant to be mostly without them.
As personality goes, I have described him as being somewhat like "Data" from Star Trek the Next Generation. Mostly due to his analytical behaviors and lack of real emotion, coupled with a lack of understanding of most things. Essentially, he is meant to act more like a computer than a person.
Sadly, I don't think I really did that good of a job of portraying his personality in my comic... but I suppose I'll let you be the judge when we get to that. (honestly, I think my opponent did a better job with it XD)

I get the feeling sorrow had something to do with the colours, but then I could be wrong...
And I agree with Scree! Stealing genetics and evolving does appear to be the way forward! But then the little chimera jumped me and my primary conciousness is in a chimeric body right now.

XD
well, funnily enough I don't think I met Scree until after creating Evo, so it's actually pretty amusing how similar they are in regards to that particular design feature.
aaaand Sorrow influenced the fur patten a good bit I'd say... but not the colors themselves.
