Hey everybody! Sorry it’s been so long. I’m putting the choose your own adventure story on hold until after this one. (I don’t own Mario, Yoshi, or anyone else in the Mario universe.)

Yoshi sits in the sun, eating a fruit, he picked fresh. When suddenly, his friend, Mario runs up to him. He seems stressed about something. Yoshi doesn’t understand Mario, or anyone else except the other yoshi’s, but he understands a few things. ‘Bowser, something something, Kamek, something, help, blah blah blah, run. Yoshi stands after hearing that last word, ready to help his friend. But... something was strange. Mario is usually just a bit taller than Yoshi, but, they’re now eye to eye. But he pays no mind, it’s probably just in his head. Mario jumps on Yoshi’s back, and Yoshi takes off.
While going through the grasslands of the Mushroom Kingdom, Yoshi notices his friend feels... lighter on his back, when suddenly-
A root sticking out of the ground makes Yoshi trip, and Mario is flung off of Yoshi’s back. Yoshi runs over to help Mario, and see if he was hurt. Mario stands, and Yoshi’s eyes widen. Mario was definitely smaller. His hat reached around Yoshi’s nose. No wonder he was lighter! What did Bowser do?
Mario tried to jump onto Yoshi again, but fails. Yoshi lowers himself, and holds his hand out for Mario to stand on. He blushes, embarrassed, and climbs up. After a while, Yoshi hears the sounds of Mario snoring. ‘Hmmm... Maybe I should carry him, he can’t hold on if he’s tiny, not to mention asleep.’ Yoshi reaches towards his back, and wraps his hand around a tiny plumber. ‘Oh no! He barely reaches my belly at this size!’ Yoshi thinks. ‘I guess I just have to run even faster!’ Yoshi runs as fast as his little legs will take him, holding Mario in his arms.

The little plumber wakes up to see that he is in the palm of a green giant! Not recalling the fact that he was shrinking, he panics. But then, he sees the giant looking down at him... Yoshi?! He looks around, and realizes how tiny he really is. He isn’t half as tall as his friend’s finger. He feels an intense wind, and realize that Yoshi is still running. How long has Yoshi been running for, just for Mario?

Yoshi feels something in his finger, and looks down. Mario is hugging his finger, in an attempt so say thanks. Yoshi strokes a finger across Mario’s back. Mario thinks, ‘Maybe being shrunken wasn’t so bad...’
