Lukie met Jiro while running through the Labyrinth Zone, Lukie drowned and was sucked through a Pressure hole, hitting this Lugia's nose, Jiro filled Lukie with air and set him off on his adventure.

After saving Kaire, Lukie set off to find Jiro again, He found Jiro, and they shared an enlightening conversation, they're now the best of friends.
