Frolicking through the forests of Elendor hardly seemed scientific to The Oathkeeper, but it beat out the stuffy confines of her laboratory during those rare days of restlessness. Petal was quiet and swift; a bird of the crystal paradise. Her mind flitted from tree to tree, ideas dancing in each Elendorian Blossom from the Hajime Tree- an endless, wide ocean that trickled into either a turbulent river or a silent stream. Her mind was rarely in one location or state at once, a wanderlust of brilliance that shone with the same brilliance as her inner light.
A slight laugh left her lips as she batted her wings against the air, slicing through it like a blade. She soared upward, bursting through the pulsating petals of clusters of Elendorian Blossoms, inhaling as she beheld the everlasting galactic sky, her twinkling eyes easily mistaken for a pair of stars. Sitting upon a high branch of the first tree to bloom within Elendor, she summoned forth a glass trinket of a butterfly made of the famous Elendorian Crystals from her Core, held snuggly within its’ golden frame. With a wave of her hand and a trail of starlight, the butterfly sprung to life, perching upon Petal’s fingertip.
The Royal Celestial let out a gentle giggle as the sentient treasure crawled across her dainty digits - each crystalline limb lightly tapping against her pale pelt- before holding out her hand to the wind and allowing the cosmic force to catch her gift to the skies. The trinket-given-life flapped its glass-like wings to catch onto the gale-force and propel itself upwards, shining as bright as any shooting star, before quickly fading into the vastness of the galactic sky. Petal watched with a serene smile until it vanished, then flicked her wings as she murmured to herself, head slightly tilted in wonderment,
“Why do you spend so much time in that lab? To better enjoy this, I would suppose.”
