Melvin Jenkins,
In his late 20's!
Born to a wizard mother and dad who served his mother in a rural, moderate sized village filled
with mixed species, Melvin was a very energetic child who liked to let his curiosity lead him in his
daily life and was fascinated with reading tales about extraordinary feats of magic and wizards
leading expeditions and adventures, as he wanted to follow his mother's footsteps despite
numerous attempts to be deterred from magic due to his gender.
Melvin pursues to have magic more accessible to those who aren't born to wizarding families or
lack the resources.
Melvin also seeks out to remedy the notion that only females can be mages in his hometown, as
he believes everyone deserve a chance to achieve the dream he is unable to.
Very prideful at first, because he was the only alchemist in his village (enhancer and jeweler is
later on) until he comes to be tutored in an alchemical institution and learns being gifted doesn't
necessarily make you better.

During his childhood he met a mage sent by the local ministery who came to test all the childern
of the town for magical aptitude and while it was discovered Melvin had considerable amounts
of magical energy within himself, he cannot cast almost any magic due to lack of aptitude.

Bitter with the discovery, Melvin sought out different ways to utilize the magic stores held
within him without success, and eventually bought books about alchemy in the pursue of
potions and concoctions to remedy his aptitude, only to find himself naturally gifted in the art
of alchemy. Despite numerous disagreements with his mother who wanted to marry him to a
female magician to strengthen her positon, Melvin was slowly devoting himself to the art of
potions. Melvin began making a name for himself in his rural village as an alchemist while slowly
accumulating additional knowledge from many alchemical books to improve his own skills and
learning to make various potions that heal, strengthen, sharpen senses and even increase one's
magical output in his search to fix his shortcomings and become a magician.

Approached by a fellow alchemist who visited the village with a band of other merchants, Melvin
and the merchants shared their knowledge of alchemy together and later on, Melvin traded
some of his recipes for books about enhancement and jewel smithing, as well as a theoretical
book speaking of chantings while creating as a way to enhance.

Slowly developing his skills further, Melvin chose to move from the village he grew up in to a
town of the name Lybster to further his passion and to attempt opening shop to sell his wares in
order to finance his studies, as well as discover the outside world.
After failing miserably at enhancing objects the traditional way, Melvin recovered the old
theoretical chant enhancing book he traded, deciding to attempt it as the normal ways using
spells failed him.
In time and practice, Melvin managed to produce his first jewellery, a necklace that allows one to
hide his presence.
The theoretical book proved to be what Melvin searched for, allowing him to enhance objects he
created with his energy stores and utilize them. Consolidating his slowly growing wealth, Melvin
began pursuing further knowledge while refining his skills, still seeking to be remedy himself.
