It's really hard to do, but once you do it, you become the happiest person in the world. I know from experience.

Don't let it get to you.

Just think about the things that you have that they don't. Think about the things you can do that they can't.

To put it bluntly, inflate your ego. Put a bike pump in its mouth and bloat that sucker up.

Just don't inflate it too much. You only need it just big enough to where the stupid things bounce right off. It just needs to become a shield.

Don't get to the point where you can't even take helpful critisisms though. At that point, you're completely invincible to everyone but it's at a price. Nobody likes someone that's stuck up, right?

Here's what I say to myself when people start getting on my nerves...

I don't like disagreeing with everyone else...but if this is what they are throwing at you then you just have to learn to take it...if this is something they are throwing at someone you care about BECAUSE of you, then you may have to confront them on it (just make certain it's infront of an audience, to keep them from trying to win through force). Push their buttons...ask how their G/Fs are, why they only pick on little girls, or if treating girls like that is why they are single....things like that.
Be ready to suffer when they get you alone...at best you will shame them into keeping their mouths shut, at worst they'll throw themselves at you. Both are better than HER suffering.....do what you have to do to protect her.
*shrugs* That's my view, anyway.
