Um, yeah, this is another original character, codenamed Mr. Quin. He's a harlequin! Fascinating, I know. And yes, it's a boy! Actually, he's meant to be an androgynous character, so it's okay if you thought he was a girl.
I got really into harlequins after my school did a play of A Company of Wayward Saints, based on the famous Commedia dell'arte series featuring Harlequin, the black-masked emissary of the devil.
I put tons of thought into the work, making the golden snake and each color used on him have some sort of symbolic meaning that sheds light into his character.
This piece (which looks tons better in real life) was blown up to poster size and printed out to be an entry in the 2008 V.A.S.E. art contest. I didn't win anything, by the way. ;w;
Uninteresting little note here, I used a friend's hand as reference for Mr. Quin's hand. That friend was a girl.
