Have a Leopard surfer girl! :D This was for a contest on dA (Let's see what happens)! Actually, this was an inktober drawing! I liked it so much I decided to finish it! ...a little trivia for you! While drawing her hair, I got inspired by a character from an old game for Sega Genesis... who's at least 30 old will probably understand who I'm talking about! ;D
Enjoy!

I'm a child of the 70's... well, I was 6 when they started and 16 when they ended, so I don't know how much closer I could get - and even I get 70's envy.
Where I live the early 70's were probably more like the late 60's in the US/UK, and that whole era has a sort of halcyon/idyllic glow in my mind. I'm glad I was there as a kid, but being a kid is basically good in any decade provided nothng particularly awful happens - I'd like to have lived through that era as a young man.
Still, I shouldn't grouch. I still got to be a teen in the 70's, and I don't want to be older than I already am :)
I love the picture, and all your era-specific retro type stuff. I do have to remind myself that the quality of the light back then was actually just like it is now. Some of the old polaroids i took when
I was a kid looked a bit like the colour in your pics, though :) Nowadays I could play around with the white balance settings of my camera to get everything to look like that if i really wanted to (though getting a hair in the gate would be difficult with digital camera) :)

You can still get instant cameras (actually they've made a resurgence) - though it seems daunting paying so much for photos again. Back in the day it was all about the speed, not the quality. Back then we used to send off regular film to get developed and wait a week or two for them to arrive back by mail.
When you were born I was in my 20's and working as a fire hazards inspector, and used to go around checking properties. They gave me a polaroid camera and boxes of free film, which of course I used insane amounts of taking hundreds of personal photos.
