Face ended up a bit different from the wip image. I'm both slightly dissatisfied and attached, but i'd have no real use for this character aside from further adjustments.
Rulership among the Drakes is usually decided through tests of strength and courage, unlike most others. While the road to rulership varies from land to land, in High Mountain a would-be king would have to go through several trials set by the guard. If they survive, they would then have to defeat their choice of 6 out of 12 royal guard in one-on-one combat over the course of several weeks. Should they manage this, they will then be allowed to fight the king for his place at the throne.
The royal guard are said to be created by the old gods before most of them got old, shut down, or went mad. As such, the guard are more resilient than your average doll. Never quite dying but instead being put into a coma-like state when they are dealt massive amounts of damage. Some will maintain and modify their appearance depending on the current king as a show of allegiance. And while they are devoted to each king, they are typically not torn when one dies and is replaced by another.
This particular member of the guard is known for their kind demeanor, beautiful voice, and elegant way of carrying themself. Their friendliness is often mistaken for weakness, leading to the demise of many would-be kings. While having mastery over many weapons, they prefer to use their claws when it comes to combat, only using a shield on occasion. Their "tailcoat" set of arms were inspired by a dear friend who is often referred to as the literal "Coat of Arms"
Extra info: While they could easily become kings and emperors themselves, they have no interest. Their only purpose in life is to protect the king from an unjust death. Also, king applies to both male and female identifying dolls as the title is neutral among drakes.
Comment or note to make offers. Money>Everything else. Gonna be real picky when it comes to selling this one, if it gets sold at all. I would like at least around $70 for this, but I know that's a lot. Guess i'll keep this boio for a while.
