Collines Verdes Pokédex #26: Coqor.
Though less commonly seen, the evolved form of Golchik is a sight to behold when it gets a head of steam and a tail of fire going. This fierce, feisty Flying/Fire-type Pokémon is known for an indomitable fighting spirit and a temper to match the vibrant flames it produces. Normally, any family unit of Golchik will only have one Coqor among them, easily spotted because of its comparatively massive size (at nearly three feet in height) and the ferocious plume of rippling, color-changing flames that make up the Pokémon's tail feathers.
Coqor is considered the true heraldric Pokémon of Collines Verdes, seen on the region's flag and having a place in the mythology of the region. It's said that in a time of war in the distant past, when hope seemed lost and enemies had overrun the fields and forests of Collines Verdes, flocks of Coqor appeared from seemingly nowhere, a sea of trio-colored flames, kicking claws and gleaming metallic spurs chasing the invading forces from their lands.
As far as Pokémon Training goes, one has to be careful when dealing with the fiery Pokémon's attitude. They need to be respected, as their spurs and flames aren't exactly picky about who they're used against when the creature has been annoyed. It has a haughty attitude, seeming to think itself above many common practices such as Pokémon contests outside of battling, but with a strong bond they'll loyally do anything their Trainer desires. If one mistreats them, though, they're difficult to keep in control, and have been known to destroy the ball used to initially capture them and escape!
