I am still thinking of doing a sort of short story about this episode of Teal's... shenaniganary.
Also, what is that effect coming from Teal's hand? Well, it's magic. Everyone has the capability magic, but, you know, it's hard work. But, there are many other ways of accessing its capabilities. Including intellectual education, mental discipline, being born with the ability to channel it because life isn't fair or having your uncle's friend cover you in transformative arcagel and looking like a female kobold for a while.
