Work in progress for BullyProud, of their friend's dog, a German Shepherd/Chow mix. I'm not sure what the pooch's name is, but the photograph she sent me of him was beautiful.
I'll be using acrylic paints, and prisma colored pencils on an 8X11 wooden plaque. Finished product will be sprayed with a clear protective glaze, and four leash/key hooks will be added.
Time invested so far is about 1.5 hours, from the pencil sketch to the acrylic outline. Estimated overall time is roughly 6 hours.

I've done a few paintings on canvas, but it is really fun to do them on the wood. I like the way they contrast with the wood grain, and just the way the paint sets on the wood is pretty cool!
I just pick up the rectangular wooden plaques from Walmart, as well as the hooks...heck, all of my material's came from walmart, lmao!
I really enjoy painting. I can't color worth squat using CS3, but give me a paint brush and I love to use color!
