Finally finished my Pharah piece. Since all we know pretty much nothing about her Indigenous heritage, I checked out other translations of the game to see if I could find more stuff. Turns out that “Thunderbird” in the Italian version is re-named “Wakinyan”.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but from what I could find searching around “Wakíŋyaŋ” is a word originating from Lakota language. I titled this piece after that very small but important info. 💖
