My old profile picture was one of my old pictures cropped, given a different background, and applied a black and white filter. This made me think, "Hey, I don't think I've seen anyone with an 1800's style profile picture." So, that's what inspired me to make this new avatar for myself. I actually really like how this turned out. i originally tried to do a front view and it actually kind of worked out, but I don't think it would be the best for my profile picture.
I usually use a website called online-image-editor to finalise my images, whether it's applying all of the layers, applying filters, or adding text. This time, I used an accompanied website called LunaPic that assisted giving this 1800's look to it. I used actual 1800's pictures as sort of a reference to see how they looked compared to how my picture looks, I personally prefer the edit, but I'll still upload the original with no filters added.
