"What is this? A 3D rendering?" is what you might ask yourself and you'd be right. I've always worked on 3D renderings, even before I started drawing but I kind of always kept that to myself. However, today I felt like I had to do something with this big guy here.
Rexo kindly shared this model of his Ultimate Chimera named Maximus with me quite a while ago and ever since then, I've tried to get him into the Unreal Engine but it never quite worked out due to several reasons. However, I can still very much just animate and render this hunk in Maya and so I did. I really liked the results, hence why I felt like I should show it to you guys, so I really hope you enjoy this 3D stuff as well.
I might do more of that in the future, not just still images though, I do want to get more practice in 3D animation as well. After all, I really enjoy animating in 3D.

Fantastic work! And although I can understand why you'd want to keep 3D (or any) art that you consider to be "not good enough" to yourself, I'd like to point out that it really helps other artists who want to see how artists develop their craft, so even if you have to put it in "scraps", don't be shy about sharing your work! I'm sure there are lots of budding artists enjoying your stuff who could be inspired even more.
...this is all, assuming, that you were keeping it to yourself for THAT reason. Maybe you had another? :)

I am SHOCKED I hadn't commented before. But it is UNREAL how smooth and pleasant your rendering style makes Maximus and his feet look here.
He looks so... perfect in the literal sense of the word. Not a blemish on him, SO smooth looking~
Then again... maybe I am caught up in how much justice this lighting and texturing does for his soles~ <3
I know it's an older render, six months old even. But goodness, what I wouldn't give to see behind that raised arch back there. Suuuch a tease~ ;P
