It's been a long time since I last drew this character.
Russia passed a law a few months ago which is aimed at silencing critics of Putin's government. In my story, Mussorkov is a dissident from the country's small libertarian left. He's also a Russian Orthodox Christian, though his criticism of the Kremlin (run in the story by Pogelnin) has gotten him into trouble with the Church he follows.
