in an attempt to get ideas, I doodled a lot of squiggles with a large brush, faded them, zoomed in and tried to imagine what they could become and sketched that over.

I had no idea that this was actually something people regularly do. I thought I was just a weirdo for trying to make things out of random shapes when I felt uncreative.
Usually when I'm on my laptop I do this, or I'll do the same thing with coffee stains on napkins if I have a pen handy.
