I was curious as to how a gesso board would compare with a regular stretched canvas, so I threw some paint on one. Of course, I went with a Brain Matter (one of my surreal depictions of a creature(?) made of a brain and spinal cord), for the subject. It’s not entirely different enough to warrant a preference between the two, but it was nice to give it a test drive.
