Cool, nice weapon. Is it a caseless weapon or is it using a magnetical field to accelerate the bullets, like a gauss gun?
Hmm...I really think I should aks you out for some commissions. BTW: where is the gun based on? I think I saw it on Datafortress 2020 or some other Cyberpunk RPG site. Seems shome Shirow style weapon,
Man, we really need to chat with eachother, I have some questions and all.

The weapon operates much like the "Powerguns" as described in David Drake's "Hammer's Slammers" books, check 'em out sometime. In fact "Olin America"( a real company) is a nod to Drake...Olin America developed in the 21 century plasme powergun tech basied on the effects on metal atoms during the 1902 Mt. Pierre eruption that destroyed the town of St. Pierre.
Powergun plasma systems use cartridges that contain a copper-cobalt charge ( including the energy matrix used to induce the gauss load that releases the copper-cobalt as plasma) within a polyurthane cartridge, they are fired through an iridium barrel.
The general shape is influanced by Colt/Stoner, FN, Giat, and the M41A from aliens.
The gun is a bullpup, mag fed weapon, with a battery loaded under the barrel.

It's not quite a caseless weapon, it ejects polyurathane disks that retained the copper-cobalt matrix and power matrix. It does use a gauss load to strip the copper-cobalt atoms into a plasma.
The only problem with powerguns is that they discharge fully their bolt into the first object they hit. But the "boil-over" effects are nasty.
