Note:there has been a pending change in the ratio of men and women in Vulpinia.
Being the only Unit which separates men from women, the FVF Airborne is one of only three of the Vulpine Republic's Specialized units. Made up of only Veteran soldiers from the Mountain Scouts or the Elite Republican Guard, they are all battle hardened. As mentioned earlier, they are the only unit which men and women are separated. This is due to the difference in Parachutes and R.A.C. Rigs. Once on the ground, the unit is no longer separated. Most of the volunteers however are men, however females aren't uncommon. The FVF Airborne is fairly new dating only to late 700 to early 800 AW. Over time, their usefulnes in combat has earned them a very unique place in the Free Vulpinian Military.
The Airborne is divided into only three regiments.
The 12th (the 12th original regiment)
The 352nd (An Infantry unit which was transfered to Airborne)
The 55th SPU (A Special Purpose Unit; serves as the FVFs "Jump Capable" Special Forces)
(Inspired mostly from German Fallschirmjager)

The pathfinders (First on the ground to mark the Drop Zone) usually are deployed from helo's. The bulk of the paratroopers are dropped from two converted civilian cargo transports which were loaned from the air service at Bakaan. Since there's only two planes the sticks are deployed in rotation. That makes the process take a bit long and destroys the element of surprise after the first two waves, but they're usually not deployed too far behind enemy lines.
