I was on vacation in Italy, I was going to visit my maternal family that was in Venice
in the first days I went to a bakery nearby In the bakery when entering, I was treated by a very nice boy, with fine features and big eyes of color like emerald
my surprise to see that he greets me with a nice smile,
seeing his face I thought he would be the son of the owner to look very young, I placed my order and while waiting, having few customers, approached me wanting to talk, I am usually someone shy and it is difficult to start conversations
We started talking and it was surprising for me to know that Mafy and I were the same age, because of his face and attitude, I would swear he would be younger than me, I felt comfortable talking with him, when I was about to leave, he also gave me a present a small cupcake they sold, it was a nice detail on their part, we exchanged cell phone numbers and when going out to the house eating the cupcake, I thought of a way to compensate, and it was not until I got home that I thought an idea
On Saturday I took advantage and asked him if he worked that day, to which he said no, I was happy and could start my plan, I invited him to the stop of the gondola near the bakery where he worked
Arriving in the afternoon, we met at our meeting point, he greeted me with his typical smile and I greeted him in the same way, I told him that today I had a surprise for his gift the other time and as if he read my mind, He shows me that behind him he had a picnic basket, he wanted to eat with me, at that moment I thought we both had a similar idea and I showed him the surprise, a trip in a gondola, Mafy was surprised and told me that since he is in Venice He has never had a gondola trip, so he was encouraged by my surprise.
The trip began, and while he was starting the walk, Mafy took food out of his basket to share, the afternoon was amazing and more with Mafy's food was even better At sunset, at the end of the tour, each of us was going to retire to his house and Mafy said goodbye to me with a big hug that took me by surprise, so taking the initiative, I returned the hug as well, saying goodbye and while I was going to my house, I smiled with sorrow knowing that I made a new friend on this trip.
