TwitterWhen animals considered to be "prey" by the apex predators of the world begin to band together for safety, where does it leave those caught in between?
Namely, a pair of pine martens, carnivores and flesh-eaters themselves, but small enough to be considered food for the bears, wolves and gluttons of the forest and field. They're on a journey to seek sanctuary with the rabbits, squirrels and other prey that have gathered to Oren--but they don't know if welcome or condemnation will meet them.

Well... Seeing as Rask is doomed, my money is on Hemlock rolling a 20 and wins yet another hide for their collection.. (Crowd groans)
Humor aside, it looks like Oren and Hem's partner is not amused at their idea. Now if only Egg didn't botch the translation and make it seem like they ALL want him dead, he wouldn't be panicking. Poor Rask and his new goofy friend. I predict many crazy mishaps should they stay together!
Your expressions on this piece are spot on! I especially like the panel where Hemlock is running their mouth while the others react to them!

Second panel, is there a big scar on Oren's leg? Perhaps from an unkind encounter with a predator?
Hemlock wants another hide to collect and I can understand him, martens are predators although they may not be the most dangerous, however, Mewl seems to disagree as he realized Rask's ability. Rask's knowledge about fire is his only hope, but for how long will he be useful for preys?
