Poor thing... woke up a bit too late it seems.
As for playing around with the 3D, I think you can enhance the perspective by using a bit of the tool for every distance layer in the pic.. Say you focus on the snake maw, and add just a little on the hyena face, a bit more on the snake wrap, even more on grass behind, and keep the foreground foot so very blurred... I don't know, in my head, I think it would work ^^;;;

*laughs* I love the end of the snake's tail being wrapped around Aku's tongue. And the open maw is always a delightful view for a rat like me. ;)
The colors and textures look as wonderful as always, but in this instance, I'm not sure if the blur effect works.
The problem for me is that everything is in focus, and then you see the blurry paw up close. There's no continuity, as the way the snake has Aku wrapped up, it doesn't look as if Aku's foot should be sticking this far up. The blur effect generally works better when there's various levels to the blurring within the frame, rather than going from all in focus, to suddenly seeing part of it blurry. If that makes sense. Heh.
But even so, it's still an adorable picture. Lucky Aku getting to play with a friendly snake. :D

hehe thank you Prowler =D Aku has a tendency of sticking his tongue out when he is squeezed lol
ah, i see what you mean. the camera should have focused on all of the picture. (minus the very very back ground) due to how close it all is. Hmm. =D i will Take that into thought next time. hehe i know to listen to you when it comes to Focus and Pictures! =D cause' that lil' rats gotta nack! =D thanks again Rodent it is Always enjoyable to hear from you and thank you so much for the honesty! it will Help me Alot! oh one question though. at what point do you think a camera would begin to blur its focus? think maybe give it ten feet? =) or more? *wags* =D

*giggles* Yeah, that pudgy hyena always has a cute tongue sticking out. ;)
Actually, the distance of the foot from the body would be okay to be out of focus. i just feel it doesn't work in this particular composition. Perhaps if we saw more of Aku, including all of his leg stretching out from his body to the foot, with a gradual blurring instead. But to see both Aku and the Snake in focus, and then have this blurry foot sticking up in the front, it kind of distracts the viewer, rather than enhance the picture; moreso than an in-focus foot would have.
Or if instead of the foot, it was a bush or rock that was out in front and blurry, that might work better. But the foot just seems too out of place here.
There's no way to really give actual distances, because when looking at a picture as if through a lens, you can consider all manner of apertures and focal lengths that would range from everything being in focus, to the focus actually being only a very short depth of field. It's all a matter of looking at the entirety of the picture and seeing what works and what doesn't.
