Cartoons love to play with physics and gravity. So something that would be to heavy to carry, like an anvil, a piano, or a safe would suddenly become easy to carry, but when it falls, it falls hard. This kind of move would end someone's life if this were real. But cartoons don't seem to die. Like Kenny from South Park they take a licking and keep on ticking.
