As the sun softly sets on the heart of the city, a small brown mastiff named Dennis limps his way through the door
of the restaurant. After a long day of work, his body felt spent and wondered why his boar friend Broody had even
invited him to his restaurant that evening. Must've been something important and despite how tired he was, he
couldn't let a friend down.

As he walked in, a kind young goat woman stood at the podium, milling around on her phone as she waited for guests
to seat. Dennis greeted the waitress saying he was looking for the owner. "Oh! You must be the dog he was
expecting, Uh... Excuse me for a minute." She then left the dog unattended as she went back into the kitchen for a
minute or two. The dog waited patiently but was surprised to see her come back without his friend behind her. "Sorry
for the wait. Please follow me to your seat. He'll be with you in a moment." She said with a business-friendly smile.

Dennis didn't know why he needed to be led to a seat. He didn't plan on eating here tonight. The exhausted dog just
planned on picking up some fast food on the way home after this. While he would eat here on occasion, it usually
wasn't in his usual budget sadly. And he didn't want to feel like he was taking advantage of his friend when he was
offered discounts.

As he was guided to his booth, he was surprised to find his plump walrus pal Wattson sitting in a booth waiting for
him. And before he can even say hi, Broody came walking over carrying several plates of food. And his yellow wolf
buddy Luke right behind him! It might've been a while since he visited here but it didn't feel that long ago he was
helping teach Luke how to cook. Had it really been that long? The mastiff was shocked by how out of the loop he
was... "W-what are all you guys doing here?"

Luke was the first to speak up, "Hahaha! Don't tell me you forgot what day it is."

"Oh no. I think he's been spending too long in the office again." Broody looking into the mastiff's sagging eyes as he
set the food down. Dennis spent a minute trying to figure out what they were talking about, but he couldn't even
remember what month it was anymore. Much less focus on it as the boar had put one of his favorite (but expensive)
meals in front of him!

"Well then allow me to refresh your memory." Wattson clearing his throat and sitting up before continuing. "We gather
here today to honor one of our most valued friends. A hard-working, kind, and resilient dog the likes we which we've
never seen. Time and time again you step up to help others in need without request for reward or compensation.
While you may lose yourself in your work, you've truly touched the friends you have made, us included. So, we felt it
was time we gave back some of the love you've blessed us with. Happy Birthday Dennis~ Eat all you want. Dinner is
on us tonight~"
