I'm really questioning the wisdom behind making this girl a fighter....

That's a very interesting question that could need a good answer. Muko herself choose to get into this but she had no idea what it was really like in the ring itself.

Yeah Muko is FAR from ready in any way for this kind of thing,Its no surprise Nyarai is so quick to ditch Cookie.

Nyarai looks almost demonic in that last panel. What happened, did her sister get hurt while being managed by Cookie? Did Shun feed her a pack of lies to help with his revenge?

And i think is not Nyarai sister that got hurt, but possibily shun's or someon close to him. Probably the younger member of Cyclone crushers, explaining hwo the whole team just fucking dumped Cookie there and then.

Indeed, back when the Cyclone Crushers were introduced to the stadium (made up of Cookie's former combagals, remember) Mellow exclaimed how "All of them" were there, except for one combagal missing.

I hope Muko loses badly. This would be a perfect opportunity for her to take a big fat L and learn to take this kind of fighting seriously, train hard and come out on top when the opportunity to fight Nyarai again comes. That would then be a good opportunity for Nyarai to grow as a character too.

Nyarai is viciously evil and sadistic. Period.
Muko is an airhead pervert without any common sense and threatens any beautiful girl with molestation.
Cookie is crooked, manipulative and doesn't think before putting others in harm's way if it achieves her goals.
Adelgund uses her stage persona to hide her also pervert and abusive self. Kinda of a middle ground between Cookie and Muko.
Shun is soft spoken, educated and calculating enough to worth his ties to the criminal underworld he clearly is part of.
Kalita is a violent gang boss that extorts stabilishment owners for money.

So... who is the one we should be rooting for here? Peki? Saniko?

So far, Saniko seems OK from what I saw from her, in that she cares for her sister.

While Peki doesn't seem as sadistic as Nyarai, she did betray her team to jion Shun and his Cyclone Crushers, just like her partner Nyarai did. Though the penguin have reasons to make the switch.

I suspect Peki's relationship with Adelgund must have been mostly one sided if not exploitative at best. Maybe she really liked Adelgund but was tired of always having to devide her attention with more atractive females.
Part of me hopes she just changed sides to get a closer eye on Shun's shady practices for Adelgund since it goes against her personality as a sub to defy her "master" that way... maybe the prisoner schtick wasn't cutting out for her anymore. Who knows?

I'vwe bee wondering myself about Peki. She so far seems uneasy, sad and disappointed in contrast to the sadistic villainess Nyarai is being.

Kalita. At least she has some sense of honor.

Yeah, Kalita. She may be ruthless and violent, terroried a public place and tried to rob it. But the best thing about her was that she had a deep sense of honor in her soul. Which is more than the other characters present here.

The only great character-wise thing about Muko as this moment is that she has a good heart in her. For example she tried to defend everyone at the cafe and the money from Kalita. But that's it.

That would be a good point if she didn't let the robbers destroy the place just so she could molest Kalita.
About Kalita on that matter: no one gives protection money to honored people. Cosa Nostra had somekind of honor code but they would bust your knee caps if you failed to pay monthly.

Well, yeah, the cafe was destroyed due how Kalita kept smashing Muko through everything , with enough force to break said everything. Even though the vixen had some honor, she didn't care she destroyed other people's property. Not to mention she brutally beat up Muko (through it was due to Muko going crazy over her figure) and the attempted robbery.

Yikes! When you put it that way...I have no clue who to root for or sympathize with!

Jokes aside, I could be speaking too soon but Saniko is the most deserving of pety: she tries to be a mother figure to Muko but she clearly shows signs of emotional manipulation when she doesn't get things her way. Maybe it was the only way she could find to make her sister hear her out (I think that because how Muko was phased out when she did so, pointing it is a common practive), showing a deep care for her sibling. It also seems that she finantialy supports both of them which I imagine puts even more burden on her shoulders together with her sister's imaturity.

I would love to see more of Peki... she has some clues of a deeper character than Dai lets us know. I wonder if she betrayed Adelgund just so she could prove herself to her former master or as a "fuck you I'm not your bicth anymore" moment.

To be unsure who to root for is exactly what I´m going for! At least for the time being...

So far you are doing a good job. Also Nayrai's facial expressions are so coldly evil and vicious by the way, which fits her aptly.

And you did greatly, not jsut in negative, but also in psoitive as these character are in such "grey" area that is hard to not ifnd soem justification for each of their action(expecially if one read the various hin of deep background story that you left in the previous chapter...rereading the earlier chapter now give them a different vibe at all)

Man, interesting to see how Nyarai's gymnastic moments are helping her further her sadistic defeat Muko. A choke-hold lock around the neck with the legs.

Again, her facial expressions ...... I can't find the words. I'm stunned. She looks horrifying. Can she look all the more villian-like? It matches with both how she is hurting Muko and her "Break the Cutie" speeches.

Also, it seems we will soon learn more about what trouble Cookie had prior to meeting Muko very soon.

It just occoured to me that Muko and Nyarai are perfectly alike in this situation dispite being opposites.Muko only wants to fight so she can get off on groping sexy girls meanwhile Nyarai just wants to fight for real to get her jollies too.In short as far as im concerned neither girl is actually bad but rather is badly in need of someone to knock some sense into them.

These facial expressions that Nyarai put are villain worthy. She looks like a wild animal about to devour prey, fitting enough with how she's torturing Muko physically and emotionally. Also great way to incorporate her acrobatics and flexibility by choking Muko with her legs. The speech about Cookie is a tragically good point as regardless of Cookie's dream of forging a Combagal champion, she's not a good manager due to her impulsive decisions, risk-taking matching, and all-out-gambles that puts in jeopardy the careers and health of her Combagals as we see with Muko.

Despite all Nyarai is saying... Even if it is true... She's the one behaving like a damn villain that needs to be slain.

There's some irony of her talking about Cookie ruining others dreams and hurting them when she herself is ruining both Cookie and Muko.

You're telling me. It's like Nyarai is implying her group are the true heroes while Cookie and Muko are bad. I mean we don't know Cookie's full backstory but Muko doesn't have any ill-intent.

She knows and that's what makes her even more vicious. What fun it is to just break some bones if the mind is preserved? You got to conquer both your oponents' will and might to secure an everlasting victory.

Nyarai really knows what she is doing. It's already worse enough that your opponent would deeply hurt your body in a severe fashion. But that they would break your will, your mind and your soul would be just chillingly devastating.

This is just another thing that makes her and Mujo total day-and-night opposites of each other Nyarai seems to have a sharp mind in that she knows how to defeat her enemies while Muko is, at the time being, dim-bulbed, untrained, unprepared, and naive. .
