A few things, her inner ears have colour (similar to her hair, dark to light), she's got a darker nose, and a curly cow lick ontop of her head.
As for him, he's got colour inside his ears as well, and you'd see a bit of his splotch from under his eyepatch - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/26177214/ shows what I mean, it goes a bit over onto his nose and a bit of it comes from under it.

The heart can be yellow, and for the background i'd just like it transparent.

Actually, For the background, could you make the right side the same blue as the left char's Hair? And for the left background just make it Yellow like the right char's markings, if possible. And then make the heart the same colors but flipped.
