ha, 1990! At that time, nobody knew how crazy comics were about to get! To make it a real 90s character, her hair would need to get at least twice as voluminous and the heels would have to get a lot higher! Then again, in those days even the women who wore flat footwear tended to be drawn standing on their toes constantly :P And the casual, natural-looking poses like this were replaced by the spine twisting boobs 'n' butt shots. It was all in good fun at the time to be sure, but I'm glad those days are past...mostly :y
