living on a ravaged world that was once in the process of terraformation before a long gone war in the sector has resulted in the standstill of the terraformation process, the world has become home to many incredibly bizarre weather conditions as the planet's orbital realignment stage of terraforming was disrupted in its past, and the result is an elliptical orbit causing incredibly harsh and even deadly winters on this world. and short, warm midsummers where the dormant bioengineered pioneer plants emerge from the short thaw for a brief period before the snow sets in again.

this world's landscape is dotted with the immense husks of many heavily damaged Terraformer Engines that contain many valuable technologies for any prospective salvage hunter, using the technology to help their own colonies.
