That's fucking horrible. Did they pull his teeth or did they fall out? If they pulled them out, that'd really be something--the prey get weapons but the preds painfully lose theirs?

Yeah....if I was Rask, I'd rather leave and take my chances with the wolves. I'd rather die with dignity than live without it.

The only thing I can think is that the badger might have naturally lost his teeth due to disease or whatever and THAT'S why he felt he had to join the prey. I'm curious to see where this goes.

Page 82 confirms that the badger, Egg, had their teeth knocked out. Apparently with a rock. Page 83 reconfirms this when Oren says to Hemlock, "Once was enough."

That's quite a stretch. The reference is towards our protagonist having already been scratched once by an unreasonably aggressive member of the community.

Whoa! I assume he didn't lose his fangs because of gingivitis. This is even darker than I expected if he decided voluntarily to "donate" his teeth. I don't know what do you think, but to me it's like he has been castrated and brainwashed to accept as something good... He looks happy after all, it's like a cult.
By the way, the comic is getting more and more interesting.

Okay, just read through all the pages so far and I have to say, this has my full and undivided interest. It's been years since something caught my attention like this- Blackblood Alliance got my attention for its art, but this? This has my attention for the story and world it's setting up. But the art is lovely too! I can tell a lot of love is going into this, and I for one am all for this. I'll be following this closely and signing up for the Patreon when I can- I'm eager to see where this goes!

Yeah... I do not think this was the sanctuary Rasks father had in mind. It really looks like Egg was defanged purposely and brainwashed somehow (he is unusually jolly). He said his name is now "Eggsucker" which sounds like they did not welcome him at all and named him something insulting. They do hate predators after all and it seems like they would be a lower class citizen if they stayed. My guess is any predators that wish to join must be rendered "safe" to the others. Which begs the question of how they brainwash their "risky" new members.

I highly doubt Rask will stay once he connects the dots. The thing is, can he escape with his life after knowing about their secret cult shelter? I doubt Oren will allow him to stay (and live) with fangs and his current mind intact. And where will he go to?

P.S. I am really loving how Egg looks here! And his hands are to die for! Wish I could draw this well!

Okay, as someone who makes a habit of reading too deeply into small details and wildly extrapolating from them:

this is beautifully drawn, but god damn the pace is slow. too many panels with just talking and changing positions of characters

It's meant to be read in one go, as a graphic novel, but you get to read it for free online so...!

I read it all. It is great an all, but I feel you have sacrificed your time in exchange for often too much detail on character's interaction with environment.
How to say it... I love it, I love reading it, the story is pretty interesting (this is a MAJOR problem for lots of comic writers (even the best on this site), they have beautiful arts, and really weak writing).. there's just inner feeling it's way too long and chances are the end will never see the daylight since artists take breaks in their lives too.
