In case anyone's been wondering why I haven't posted anything here lately, this is the answer! This is a commission for GooeyArt over on twitter of my OC Liora. The only guidelines I was given were "draw her happy", so after a couple of false starts, I came up with this idea. She's on the bus home late at night, and got a text from someone she cares about.

This took me about 35 hours over the past month to make, but I think the end result is worth it. It was quite interesting to be commissioned to draw my own character; it meant that I actually had to finish the picture, no ditching for something else halfway through allowed. I made both of the patterns I used in this. I've come to the conclusion that Liora really looks best with color holds, but I also figured out a decent way of doing it that isn't too much extra work, which was nice.
