Lusus was commissioned by a big pooltoy company to make a machine that could turn a people into Beachballs for seasonal summer jobs. He loved the crazy idea so he made a deal and got to work. In one week he made the pod. All that was left was to test it, and Lusus kind of like the idea so he became the test subject. And there’s also the fact that Hilda would absolutely wont be ok being a subject for this test. He programmed the computer and stepped right inside. As the machine came to life a tube shoved its way onto Lusus’s muzzle and locking on to it. First stage, the machine turns the subject’s flesh into rubber. Second, the tube starts pumping air into the subject, and when that’s occurring Lusus started to become bloated and rounder as more and more air is pumped into him. Third and final stage, Lusus starts to feel his limbs retracting into his now spherical body and the same is happening to his head. But it doesn’t stop there, even with his head and limbs now part of his ball like body he will still continue to get bigger until he fills up every bit of space in the pod. When the happened the pod opens up, the tube that was connected to him popped off revealing a nozzle, and he was ejected out of the pod. Lusus was now a ordinary inanimate, and helpless Beachball with his original colors and facial features painted on. His test was a success now all he had to do was wait for Hilda to come in and reverse the effects on him.
