Although not traditional for most Jedi, Ri'anna's outfit is one crated by her mother with materials made from her father. She does have the ability to make her own clothing, but prefers this outfit as a family tradition.

Ri'anna grew up learning the ways of the Force. She was a quick learner and a keen student, far surpassing many of her peers. Her destiny was to take on the family business, but was soon found out by a Jedi Master who happened to be passing by. He met with her and soon the Jedi Council agreed to let him begin her training. In the years to come, she trained harder and faster than any other student, wanting to become a Jedi Master herself one day.

The day soon arrived when she was attending a class when the evil Sith Lord Valerra attacked with the intent to destroy the school and all those within it. Ri'anna came down on the attacker swiftly and without mercy as she fought to defend her friends from the master Sith. Surprised by the strength of the young Jedi apprentice, Valerra tried to tempt Ri'anna to join the Dark Side and become a Sith. With a massive blow, angered by the attack and the attempt to make her change sides, Ri'anna felled Velarra. On her knees and almost begging not to be killed, Velarra distracted Ri'anna and knocked her saber from her hands. The two wrestled on the ground before breaking free, quickly picking up a saber once again, but finding the two had been switched. Before they could confront each other again, security and other Jedi Masters came to Ri'anna's aid, causing Valerra to flee in defeat where she was later cast out for her failures.
