I wanted to draw Enorach a bit older than usual. Here he's around 27, and considering his species ages faster than humans, he'd be in his late 30's / early 40's in human years. This is pretty much a drawing of him right before he decided to retire from his sellsword profession, together with Lars.
Both of them started to accumulate injuries and Enorach in particular received a bad wound that left him limping and forced him to use a walking stick. At that point they both decided enough was enough, considering both also had a family. Being the son of a merchant, Lars quickly built up a small trading empire, with Enorach always at his side of course.
Regarding that weapon he's holding, that's a weird falchion that was illustrated on the Morgan's Bible ( http://artofswordmaking.com/public/.....93d9c033dd.gif ). There are no historical finds of such a weapon, and some people even doubt it existed, but I'm pretty sure it was an actual weapon. In my opinion it was most likely a peasant weapon, as there are many other similar weapons portrayed in historical paintings, and the recurved tang is quite typical. I chose to portray it in what I think is a more plausible way, more like a cleaver than a weird pointy abomination.
Ok, now I'll stop ranting about my characters and weird swords, sorry about that! XD Anyways, hope you liked it! If you have any feedback I'd be glad to read your comments, as I always do.

Actually, it only had to do with the handle construction in terms of it being riveted. This is how the knife maker's guilds got into sword making because everything else could be just chalked up to it being a, 'fancy knife'. As a matter of fact, the sword makers guilds started to make the blades for the messers for the knife guilds to use and the tangs were the ones you would find on a messer the knife guilds would make.
Love the detial on the Brigandine and the fact that even though the armour is well put together, the look is still, 'thrown together', as he was a merc and only got what he could afford, such as choosing to have only a gauntlet on his right hand and not both.
In regards to his injury, he is posing for a painting and that is why he not wearing his helmet. My question is, is the injury so bad that he needs his cane to walk and he only doesn't have it in the picture because the artist had a stool that he could have a sit down on every so often, or does he only need it when he goes for long walks?
